SERIES RECAP

The Strawberrys secured a 2-1 series victory over the Harfangs in a matchup defined by high-event hockey and narrow margins. The Strawberrys dictated the narrative early, taking Game 1 with a controlled 5-3 performance and following it up with a clinical 4-3 overtime win in Game 2 to seal the series. While the Harfangs managed to salvage some pride in a chaotic 9-8 overtime win in Game 3, the Strawberrys' ability to close out the first 2 games proved they were the more composed squad when the pressure was highest. The individual production across this series was staggering. splxshin. was the primary engine for the Strawberrys, racking up 13 points and 7 goals over the 3 games, including a massive hat trick in the Game 2 clincher. He was shadowed closely by mashotpa, who finished with 11 points and 24 shots. On the other side, xbrindy put together a legendary individual effort for the Harfangs, recording 14 points and an incredible 53 hits, essentially trying to physically overpower the Strawberrys' cycle. Jeeves2009 acted as the elite distributor for Harfangs, tallying 11 assists, but the Strawberrys' depth scoring ultimately outpaced the Harfangs' top-heavy attack. The deciding factor was the significant disparity in zone control and shot volume. The Strawberrys won the possession war convincingly, totaling 2261 seconds of attack time compared to 1681 for the Harfangs. This constant pressure resulted in a 65-54 shot advantage for the Strawberrys over the series. While Philliesgreat08 was busy in net for the Harfangs with 62 saves, the Strawberrys' ability to maintain a relentless cycle neutralized the Harfangs' physical game. Even though Game 3 devolved into a track meet, the Strawberrys' disciplined approach in the first 2 games secured them the series win.
