SERIES RECAP

Chaos took the series 2-0 over the Mighty Deks, but the sweep doesn't tell the full story of how close this matchup truly was. Every single minute of the series was contested, with both games requiring overtime to find a winner. Chaos managed a 5-4 victory in the opener and followed it up with a 4-3 win in Game 2, showcasing an incredible ability to stay composed under high-pressure situations in the extra frame. The Chaos offense was fueled by the duo of Daintydanglz and xDemon12x, who both finished the series with 7 points. Daintydanglz was the spark plug in the first game, netting a hat trick to keep pace with the Deks, while xDemon12x proved to be the ultimate closer by scoring the game-winning goal in both overtime periods. On the other side, DaddyJoeFerg was the primary engine for the Mighty Deks, racking up 6 points and factoring into nearly every goal his team produced. GingertronXX provided the physical backbone for the Deks, recording 20 hits over the 2 games to make every entry difficult for the Chaos forwards. Shooting volume ultimately decided the series outcome. While the time on attack was nearly identical—with both teams recording roughly 25 total minutes of possession—Chaos outshot the Mighty Deks 39-22 across the series. This relentless pressure forced Chandler4911 to make 30 saves, and while he kept the Deks in a position to win both nights, the sheer volume of looks from Chaos eventually broke through. Chaos also utilized their depth in the faceoff circle, where sc2009crosby won 28 draws to help secure vital possession during the overtime periods.
