SERIES RECAP

Evil Nature takes the series 2-0 over The Strawberrys in a heavyweight clash that required overtime in both contests. This was as close as a sweep can get, with Evil Nature edging out 4-3 and 5-4 victories to secure the matchup. The narrative of the series was defined by The Strawberrys' incredible resilience and clinical finishing, constantly answering back against an Evil Nature squad that dominated time on attack and shot volume in both games. The series stars were led by Mr LWSP, who was an absolute nightmare for the opposition, totaling 5 goals and 7 points across the two games, including a clutch hat trick in Game 2. He was fed consistently by K33P x 27, who served as the primary engine of the offense with 6 assists and a dominant performance in the faceoff circle (50 total wins). For The Strawberrys, oSplxshin and Teoskiii did everything they could to keep pace, combining for 12 points and showing elite efficiency by scoring on nearly half of their team's limited shots. Between the pipes, wolf master00 kept The Strawberrys alive under a constant barrage, making 33 total saves across the series. Ultimately, the series was decided by shot volume and puck possession. Evil Nature outshot The Strawberrys 42-24 over the two games and maintained a significant advantage in time on attack (1083 seconds to 973). While The Strawberrys were more physical, racking up 66 hits to Evil Nature's 53, they struggled to clear their zone as evidenced by the 24 turnovers pinned on oSplxshin and K33P x 27's ability to win 71% of the draws in Game 2. That extra possession time allowed Evil Nature to eventually find the cracks in the defense, with LarkSr and Mr LWSP both stepping up to bury the overtime winners that sealed the series.
