RECAP

Evil Nature edged out a 4-3 overtime victory against The Strawberrys in a back-and-forth thriller that came down to a clinical finish in the extra frame. The Strawberrys hung around late, leaning on a power play goal and clinical shooting to erase a deficit, but the momentum shifted early in the overtime period. The turning point came from Evil Nature’s relentless offensive pressure, which finally cracked a resilient Strawberrys defense that had been fighting off waves of attacks all night. The offensive engine for Evil Nature was Mr LWSP, who turned in a massive 4-point performance with 2 goals and 2 assists, including the game-winning goal. He was supported by the steady playmaking of K33P x 27, who notched 3 assists and dominated the faceoff circle with a 62.5% win rate. On the other side, Teoskiii kept The Strawberrys in the hunt with a goal and 2 assists while delivering 11 hits. Despite the loss, wolf master00 was exceptional in net for The Strawberrys, racking up 19 saves on 23 shots to give his squad a chance to steal it in overtime. The deciding factor in this contest was Evil Nature’s superior shot volume and zone control. They doubled the Strawberrys in shots on net (23 to 13) and maintained a significant advantage in passing efficiency, with blue-liner SupremeBannock leading the way with an 89% completion rate and 7 interceptions. While The Strawberrys were efficient on their limited looks and physical on the puck, Evil Nature's ability to sustain possession and recover pucks through 7 takeaways by Attree x i33i ultimately wore the opposition down.
