SERIES RECAP

Not My Game takes the series 2-0 over the Flamingos in a matchup defined by one team controlling the zone and the other controlling the scoreboard. The series arc was a frustrating one for the Flamingos, who dominated the possession clock in both contests but couldn't solve a locked-in defense. Game 1 set the tone as a legitimate heist, with Not My Game weathering a massive shot differential to secure a 3-2 win, followed by a clinical Game 2 performance that saw them shut the door on a potential comeback and walk away with a 3-1 victory. Busta Dimez was the undisputed engine for Not My Game, factoring into every single goal his team scored across the series to finish with 3 goals and 3 assists. While Dimez provided the finishing, xRoamingxRoninx was the backbone in the crease, posting a stellar .919 save percentage and turning away 34 of the 37 shots he faced over the 2 games. The Flamingos relied heavily on hockeymike2344, who was a force in the faceoff circle with 19 wins and netted 2 goals, while GannabisIVXX provided a physical edge with 11 hits and 2 assists, though the team struggled to find secondary scoring when it mattered most. The story of this series was pure efficiency versus sustained pressure. The Flamingos held a massive advantage in time on attack, totaling over 21 minutes compared to just 12 minutes for Not My Game, but they simply couldn't convert that possession into high-danger goals. Not My Game’s special teams and goaltending proved to be the equalizer; they capitalized on their lone power play opportunity and relied on xRoamingxRoninx to bail them out during long defensive cycles. Ultimately, the .919 save percentage from Not My Game compared to a .739 from the Flamingos told the whole story, as the victors made the most of their 23 shots while the Flamingos left too many chances on the table.
