RECAP

Not My Game pulled off a legitimate heist, securing a 3-2 victory despite being pinned in their own zone for the majority of the night. The Flamingos dictated the pace from start to finish, controlling the puck for over 11 minutes of time on attack and peppering the net with 19 shots. However, the game turned on pure efficiency; while the Flamingos struggled to turn possession into high-quality finishes, Not My Game capitalized on their limited opportunities. The deciding moment came when Sish buried the game-winner on one of the few clean entries the away side managed in the final frame. Busta Dimez was the offensive catalyst for Not My Game, involved in every single goal with 1 goal and 2 assists. While the forwards were opportunistic, xRoamingxRoninx was the hero in the crease, weatherring a constant barrage to finish with 17 saves and an .895 save percentage. For the Flamingos, hockeymike2344 was a force in the middle, winning 10 faceoffs and netting a goal to keep his team in the hunt, but his efforts were negated by a lack of finishing touch across the rest of the roster. The statistical disparity in this matchup was jarring, as the Flamingos doubled Not My Game’s shot total (19 to 8) and dominated the shot attempt battle. The game was decided by the massive gap in goaltending performance and defensive reliability; Cruel Bloom7525 led the way for the visitors with 6 takeaways, breaking up several dangerous cycles just as the Flamingos looked ready to pull away. SynergyLS3 had a difficult outing for the Flamingos, posting a .625 save percentage, as the lack of defensive volume meant that every breakdown resulted in a puck in the back of the net.
