SERIES RECAP

Chaos took the series 2-1 over Degeneration X in a matchup that was defined by wild swings in momentum before settling into a defensive grind. The series opened with Degeneration X making a massive statement in a 9-2 blowout, but Chaos responded immediately with an 8-2 thrashing of their own in Game 2. This set the stage for a tense, winner-take-all Game 3 that couldn't be decided in regulation. After a 1-1 battle through 60 minutes, Daintydanglz buried the series-clinching goal in overtime to complete the comeback for Chaos. Daintydanglz was the statistical engine for Chaos, leading all players with 10 points (2 goals, 8 assists) across the 3 games, including the clutch OT winner. He was supported by Jeeves2009, who remained a constant threat with 5 goals and 9 points, and l Volcom x 28 l, who racked up 8 points and provided heavy shot volume. Degeneration X saw an explosive performance from iFlickUp, who recorded all 9 of his points in the opening game, while bobaloooo_ was their most consistent producer throughout the series, finishing with 9 points and a team-high 2 power play goals. The series was ultimately decided by Chaos’s ability to tighten up defensively after a disastrous start. While Degeneration X relied on high-octane transition play, they struggled with puck security, as bobaloooo_ and Teoskiii combined for 60 turnovers across the series. Chaos exploited these lapses, particularly in Game 3, where they outshot DX 21-13 and leaned on GingertronXX’s 5 interceptions and 10 hits to disrupt the zone. While the first 2 games were defined by shooting percentage explosions, Game 3 was a goaltending duel where WeThePeople1829 outlasted LYCAN, stopping 12 of 13 shots to secure the narrowest of margins.
