SERIES RECAP

Supremacy handled business with a 3-0 series sweep over Half Shell Cartel, though the scorelines don't quite reflect how much of a grind this was. The series opened with a clinical 2-1 defensive battle where Supremacy leaned on their structure to stifle the Cartel’s transition game. Momentum snowballed from there as Supremacy opened up the offense in Game 2 with a 5-3 win, eventually closing things out in a high-scoring 6-2 finale. While Half Shell Cartel stayed competitive in terms of zone time, they simply couldn't find an answer for Supremacy’s relentless top line once the games opened up. The offensive production from Supremacy was headlined by yRykerr, who put up an absurd 12 points (5 goals, 7 assists) over the 3 games, averaging 4 points per appearance. He was flanked by FowIerrr, who was a force in both the slot and the circle, tallying 6 goals and dominating the dot with 32 faceoff wins across the series. On the back end, TrashDav was the primary engine for their transition, racking up 6 assists while maintaining a massive +7 rating. For Half Shell Cartel, mashotpa did the heavy lifting, logging a team-high 5 points and eating up 1233 units of possession time, but the supporting cast struggled to convert that pressure into enough goals to swing a game. The statistical story of this series came down to clinical efficiency versus volume pressure. Despite the sweep, the total time on attack was remarkably close, with Supremacy holding a slight 1632 to 1624 edge. The difference was what they did with that time; Supremacy was far more dangerous in the dirty areas, recorded 6 deflections to Half Shell's 1, and consistently won the net-front battles. FowIerrr’s dominance in the faceoff circle allowed Supremacy to dictate the start of every sequence, and when combined with yRykerr’s finishing ability, they were able to pull away in transition even when the Cartel held the puck for long stretches.
