SERIES RECAP

Mighty Deks complete a dominant 3-0 sweep over That Was Ugly, closing out the series with an offensive explosion. After grinding out a 5-3 win in the opener and securing a 3-0 shutout in Game 2, the Deks left no doubt in the finale, hunging 10 goals on their opponents to seal the series. While That Was Ugly often held their own in terms of physical play and zone time in Game 1, they were unable to contain the Deks’ transition game as the series progressed. The series was defined by the massive production from the Mighty Deks' top line. JNoQuarterJ was a human highlight reel, finishing the series with 8 goals, including a 6-goal performance in the clincher. He was set up consistently by EarlSWTSHLRT, who racked up a staggering 12 points (3 goals, 9 assists) and Two Accurate (4 goals, 8 assists), both of whom averaged 4 points per game. For That Was Ugly, Jeeves2009 was a bright spot in the faceoff circle and on the scoresheet with 5 points, while Po1andsFinest provided a physical presence with 15 hits, but it wasn't enough to stem the tide. Efficiency in the crease and shot quality ultimately decided the outcome. Despite That Was Ugly leading in time on attack during the first game (over 11 minutes), they struggled to find high-danger looks, while the Mighty Deks converted on nearly 36% of their shots in the final game. Goaltending was the final nail in the coffin; xFB17 was incredibly reliable for the Deks, making 36 saves across the series and allowing only 6 goals total. In contrast, the Deks’ aggressive puck movement forced SargeNPrawns into impossible situations, leading to 18 goals against and a series save percentage that couldn't keep pace with the Deks' clinical finishers.
