SERIES RECAP

In a wild night of hockey action spread across the series, the Elite and Lucky 7 faced off twice, with the Elite walking away with a decisive 11-1 victory in one and an edge-of-your-seat 4-3 win in the other. Game one showcased an absolute force by the Elite, especially from Gxalie and TrashDav, who combined for a whopping 15 points. Gxalie had a standout performance with 3 goals and 4 assists, while TrashDav pitched in with 4 goals and 8 assists, running the ice like it was a well-rehearsed play. The Elite outshot Lucky 7 46-31, which was matched by a strong 4 power-play goals, leaving Lucky 7 struggling to keep pace. Things tightened up in the second match of the series, where the Lucky 7 came in determined. Binzet37 delivered a hat-trick performance to keep the game tight, contributing to his team's 3 goals. Despite the late surge from the Lucky 7, the Elite’s yRykerr netted the game-winner alongside a solid performance from TrashDav, who managed a goal and two assists. The time on attack favored Elite once again with 470 seconds over the Lucky 7's 320, but Lucky 7 showed remarkable grit in this one, holding their own and keeping it close. Goalies had their hands full across the series, with Lippy830 and CN65 seeing a ton of action. In the first game, Lippy830 stopped 24 of 35 shots, while in the dramatic second game, both teams’ goalies were under fire with only slightly better save percentages. In the end, the Elite's consistent offensive output proved too much for the Lucky 7. This series has definitely set the stage for more fierce battles ahead!
