RECAP

VooDoo Child pulled off a clinical 5-3 victory over The Strawberrys in a game that defied the box score. While The Strawberrys controlled the flow of play for long stretches, leading the time on attack 10:50 to 6:40 and outshooting their opponents 22-7, they simply couldn't find an answer for VooDoo Child’s counter-attack. The turning point came in the middle frame, where VooDoo Child converted on nearly every high-danger chance they generated, punishing defensive lapses and turning a shot deficit into a multi-goal lead that they refused to relinquish. The night belonged to Dupont l9l, who put on a masterclass in finishing by recording 4 goals and 1 assist on just 5 shots. He was supported by J Whipzz, who played a heavy game with 12 hits and 3 points of his own. On the other side, splxshin. did everything possible to keep The Strawberrys in the hunt, netting a hat trick to account for all of his team's scoring. Despite the offensive outburst from splxshin., the goaltending duel was heavily tilted; Hylightt stood tall for VooDoo Child with 19 saves on 22 shots, while EXHUMING SOULS struggled at the other end, stopping only 2 of the 7 shots he faced. The deciding factor was pure shooting efficiency. VooDoo Child was incredibly surgical, scoring on 71% of their total shots, whereas The Strawberrys struggled to convert despite their 71% faceoff dominance led by Prodigyx8. While The Strawberrys won the possession battle and the shot clock, VooDoo Child's ability to capitalize on limited opportunities and Hylightt’s .864 save percentage proved that quality often trumps quantity in competitive play.
