RECAP

Anarchy delivered a clinic in clinical finishing, turning a relatively even possession battle into an 8-2 rout of Limitless. Despite Limitless controlling the pace for large stretches with 9:38 of time on attack compared to Anarchy’s 8:20, they simply couldn't find an answer for the home team’s quick-strike offense. The game shifted permanently in the 2nd period as Anarchy began converting nearly every high-danger look they generated. While Limitless tried to build play through the cycles, Anarchy relied on a relentless physical presence and lethal transition play to pull away and never look back. The story of the night was the dominant connection between Hawk x I22I and PunchmadeFinn. Hawk was a puck magnet, racking up 3 goals and 3 assists while setting a physical tone with a massive 12 hits. Not to be outdone, PunchmadeFinn played the role of primary distributor, tallying 5 assists and the eventual game-winning goal. On the back end, Kosh 14 was incredibly efficient from the point, chipping in 2 goals on just 3 shots. In net, Jimmy124 remained steady, turning aside 10 of 12 shots to keep any potential Limitless comeback at bay, while Washedbob struggled on the other end, finishing with a .579 save percentage. The deciding factor was the massive disparity in finishing and special teams. Anarchy went 2-for-3 on the power play, punishing Limitless for their discipline lapses, whereas Limitless failed to capitalize on their limited opportunities. The final shot count of 19-12 in favor of Anarchy doesn't fully capture how much more dangerous their looks were; they averaged a goal nearly every 2 shots. By winning the physical battle (25 hits to 18) and forcing turnovers in the neutral zone, Anarchy proved that time on attack is a secondary stat when you have the finishing touch they showcased tonight.
