RECAP

Limitless showcased a clinical masterclass in possession and finishing, securing a 6-3 victory over the Gooper Troopers. While the Troopers remained competitive on the scoreboard for stretches of the game, the narrative was dictated by Limitless’s ability to completely hem their opponents in the defensive zone. The turning point came in the middle frame, where Limitless’s relentless cycle game began to wear down the Troopers' blue line, eventually breaking the game open and neutralizing a 3-point effort from Animal x86. The star of the show was undoubtedly yrykerr, who put on a shooting clinic by netting 4 goals on 10 shots. Many of those opportunities were created by the vision of TrashDav, who finished with a staggering 6 points (2 goals, 4 assists) and was the primary engine for the Limitless offense. On the other side, Animal x86 did everything possible to keep the Troopers in the mix, contributing 2 goals and an assist while being a physical presence with 6 hits. However, EXHUMING SOULS faced a constant barrage in net, and despite 17 saves, the high-quality looks conceded eventually took their toll. The deciding factor in this contest was the massive disparity in Time on Attack (TOA). Limitless controlled the puck for 711 seconds compared to just 271 for the Gooper Troopers—a gap that rarely results in a close game. This possession dominance allowed Limitless to dictate the pace and limit the Troopers' opportunities to just 18 shots. While the Troopers’ power play was efficient, converting 1-of-1, they simply didn't have the puck enough to overcome the playmaking of the TrashDav-yrykerr duo, who combined for 11 of the team's 17 total points.
