SERIES RECAP

Half Shell Cartel takes the series 2-1 over the Mighty Deks in a matchup defined by razor-thin margins and back-and-forth momentum. Every single contest was decided by exactly 1 goal, starting with a 5-4 overtime thriller in Game 1 where mashotpa secured a hat trick and the winner. The Mighty Deks punched back in a 6-5 track meet in Game 2 to force a decider, but the Cartel tightened the screws in Game 3, weathering a heavy shot differential to escape with a 3-2 victory and the series win. The offensive production was elite on both sides, but mashotpa and Duchesne_x_10 provided the necessary consistency for the Cartel, combining for 18 points over the 3 games. mashotpa led the series with 6 goals, while Duchesne_x_10 acted as the primary distributor with 7 assists. For the Mighty Deks, Chandler4911 was nearly unstoppable, racking up 10 points across the series, including a massive 6-point outburst in their Game 2 win. Between the pipes, CN65 was the steadying force for the Cartel, making 51 total saves throughout the series and posting a crucial .875 save percentage in the Game 3 clincher. Clinical efficiency ultimately decided the outcome. Despite the Mighty Deks controlling the time on attack for much of the series (leading 1,653 to 1,605 in total TOA), the Cartel made their high-danger looks count. This was most evident in the final game, where Half Shell was outshot 15-9 but still managed to bury 3 goals on limited chances. The Mighty Deks dominated the faceoff circle with See dub 21 winning 46 draws across the series, but the Cartel's ability to capitalize on the power play and their discipline in the neutral zone during the final frame of Game 3 proved to be the difference.
