SERIES RECAP

The Mighty Deks took the series 2-1 over Not My Game in a matchup defined by razor-thin margins, with all 3 games decided by a single goal. The Deks set the tone early with a 2-1 win in Game 1, but Not My Game responded in Game 2 by capitalizing on power play opportunities to force a deciding third game. In the finale, the Mighty Deks leaned on a suffocating defensive performance to secure another 2-1 victory, effectively shutting down any hopes of a Not My Game comeback. The series featured high-end performances from both sides, particularly in the transition game. For the Mighty Deks, Chandler4911 and Rapidcalf217667 were the primary engines, each recording 4 points across the 3 games. Rapidcalf217667 was especially impactful on the blue line, recording 15 takeaways and maintaining a pass completion rate north of 80% to keep the Deks' offense moving. On the other side, Sishh was a force of nature for Not My Game, leading all skaters with 5 points and a massive 28 hits. In the crease, SpitCan6064 was the only reason the series stayed so close, facing 56 shots over 3 games and posting 50 saves to keep his team within striking distance until the final horn. The deciding factor in this series was the Mighty Deks' overwhelming puck possession and shot suppression in the final game. After dropping Game 2 due to undisciplined play and special teams breakdowns, the Deks tightened up significantly for Game 3, limiting Not My Game to just 5 shots the entire game. Across the series, the Deks outshot Not My Game 53-40 and controlled nearly 8 more minutes of time on attack. While Not My Game’s physical play and goaltending made every game a struggle, they simply couldn't find a way to break through the Deks' defensive shell when the series was on the line.
