SERIES RECAP

The Metal Can Muppets secured a 2-1 series victory over Bullet Hockey Club in a high-scoring matchup defined by offensive outbursts and clutch finishing. The Muppets took control early with a gritty 4-3 overtime win in Game 1, followed by a dominant 7-4 performance in Game 2 to put the series in a stranglehold. Although Bullet HC showed signs of life with a clinical 5-3 win in the final game, the Muppets’ ability to stack wins early proved to be the difference. The series featured a heavyweight battle between two of the league's top producers. Prodigyx8 was the engine for the Muppets, totaling 12 points across 3 games, highlighted by a massive 5-goal explosion in Game 2 and a relentless 29 hits throughout the series. Bullet HC relied heavily on l_Willis_97_l, who matched the 12-point mark and factored into every single goal the Bullets scored in both Game 1 and Game 3. Down the middle, BIGTJ1299 provided the Muppets with 8 points and the crucial Game 1 overtime winner, while Buckley0306 was a force for Bullet HC, averaging nearly 3 points per game and winning 43 faceoffs across the series. Shot volume and opportunistic special teams ultimately decided the outcome. The Muppets dictated the pace in the first 2 games, outshooting Bullet HC by a combined 43-20 margin. While Bullet HC was incredibly efficient—highlighted by a 50% shooting percentage in Game 2—they simply didn't generate enough looks to keep up with the Muppets' pressure. A vital shorthanded goal from Prodigyx8 in the opening game prevented Bullet HC from running away with the lead, allowing the Muppets to stay within reach and eventually find the overtime winner that set the tone for the entire series.
