SERIES RECAP

Degeneration X takes the series 2-1 over Feet For Hands. The matchup opened with DX firmly in the driver’s seat, securing a 3-2 win followed by a dominant 5-2 performance to put the series on the brink of a sweep. Feet For Hands managed to avoid the shutout in the final game, grinding out a 2-1 overtime victory to steal a win, but the early damage dealt by the DX offense proved too much to overcome in the aggregate. The series was defined by the high-end production of Binzet37 and m4ckzz88, who both finished the 3-game set with 7 points and a +5 rating. Binzet37 was the catalyst in the pivotal Game 2, exploding for 5 points (2 goals, 3 assists) to effectively break the series open. For Feet For Hands, Rxzmus was the lone consistent bright spot on the scoreboard, totaling 4 points and scoring both goals in the Game 3 overtime win. SlyWily also deserves credit for his workload in the middle, taking 56 faceoffs across the series to help FFH maintain a competitive posture in the circle. Shot volume and puck security were the statistical deciders. Degeneration X outshot FFH 41-25 across the 3 games, demonstrating a much higher level of efficiency whenever they entered the zone. Despite Feet For Hands averaging 515 seconds of time on attack per game, they struggled to convert that possession into actual threats, largely due to 25 total turnovers from the back end. While FFH’s power play was perfect in Game 3 (2-for-2), their inability to generate high-danger looks at even strength against a disciplined DX defense cost them the series.
