SERIES RECAP

Half Shell Cartel takes the series 3-0 over the Flamingos in a dominant display of puck control and offensive efficiency. This was a statement sweep from start to finish, beginning with a 5-0 shutout in Game 1 that set a clear tone for the matchup. While the Flamingos managed to make Game 2 more competitive on the scoreboard, the Cartel never actually relinquished control of the series momentum, outscoring their opponents 14-4 across the 3 games. The Cartel’s top line was essentially unstoppable throughout the week. Mashotpa led all skaters with a massive 12 points and 8 goals, including 2 separate hat tricks that broke the Flamingos' spirit. Duchesne_x_10 was equally effective down the middle, recording 10 points and winning 32 faceoffs to ensure the Cartel started the majority of their shifts with possession. WhoUsedAlltheTP served as the primary distributor, racking up 8 assists. On the Flamingos' side, Yumbelievable provided a rare bright spot in Game 2 with a 2-point effort and strong work at the dot, but the team lacked the secondary scoring needed to keep pace. The series was ultimately decided by a massive disparity in time on attack and zone exits. Half Shell Cartel controlled the puck for a staggering 2,085 seconds compared to just 1,344 for the Flamingos, essentially doubling the offensive pressure in every contest. This possession advantage was anchored by TheHeroicShinobi, who stabilized the back end with high-percentage passing and 7 interceptions. The Flamingos' inability to clear their zone proved fatal; hockeymike2344 and Dirbykach13 were pressured into 50 combined turnovers across the series. With CN65 providing reliable goaltending and a .900 save percentage, the Flamingos simply couldn't generate enough high-danger looks to threaten the sweep.
