SERIES RECAP

Bullet Hockey Club takes the series 2-1 over Half Shell Cartel in a matchup that featured a massive shift in styles game-to-game. The series opened with a high-flying 8-4 win for Bullet Hockey Club, but the momentum came to a screeching halt in Game 2 when the Cartel responded with a clinical 1-0 defensive masterclass. The rubber match was a back-and-forth affair that saw Bullet Hockey Club reclaim their offensive rhythm, narrowly edging out a 4-3 victory to secure the series win. The series was defined by a battle between elite finishers. l_Willis_97_l was the catalyst for the Bullet Hockey Club attack, racking up 9 points (6 goals, 3 assists) and recording a hat trick in both of his team's victories. He was flanked by SKontos39, who facilitated the offense with 8 points and a game-winning goal. On the other side, mashotpa carried the load for Half Shell Cartel, scoring 7 of the team's 8 total goals across the series, including a 4-goal outburst in Game 1 and the lone tally in the Game 2 win. Between the pipes, CN65 kept the Cartel competitive by posting a 15-save shutout in the second game and finishing with 42 total saves across the series. Ultimately, Bullet Hockey Club’s volume-heavy approach wore down the Cartel defense. BHC dominated the puck for 1,611 seconds of attack time compared to 1,405 for HSC, resulting in a significant 55-39 shot differential over the 3 games. While the Cartel was incredibly efficient—exemplified by mashotpa’s clinical finishing—they struggled to generate secondary scoring when BHC tightened up their gap control. The disparity in possession forced the Cartel to play a reactive game, and despite a late push in Game 3, Bullet Hockey Club’s ability to maintain sustained pressure allowed them to escape with the series victory.
