SERIES RECAP

Area 51 takes the series in a 3-0 sweep over the Baboons, putting on a clinic in offensive efficiency and puck control. The series followed a clear pattern: total dominance by Area 51 in Game 1 and Game 3, both ending in 6-1 scores, with a wild 6-5 shootout in Game 2 serving as the only moment where the Baboons looked like they might claw back into the matchup. That middle game was a high-octane affair where the Baboons actually hung around despite being out-possessed, but Area 51's relentless pressure ultimately proved too much to overcome. The series was defined by the play of Keenis VII, who was practically untouchable at center. He averaged 5.3 points per game, finishing with 6 goals and 10 assists over the 3-game stretch. He was flanked by hockeymike2344 and tugeye92, who both recorded 12 points and finished with identical +11 ratings. On the back end, vshotsy was a major contributor from the blue line, chipping in 5 goals and 4 assists. For the Baboons, l Volcom x 28 l tried to provide some life with 4 goals and a physical presence, racking up 26 hits, while Buckley0306 was the most consistent playmaker for his side with 6 total points. Ultimately, the deciding factor was Area 51's ability to live in the offensive zone and dictate the pace. They recorded 1705 total seconds of time on attack across the three games, keeping the Baboons pinned deep for long stretches and forcing them into a combined 108 turnovers. Keenis VII’s dominance at the dot was also a factor, winning 39 faceoffs to ensure Area 51 started with the puck more often than not. While the Baboons were clinical in Game 2, scoring 5 goals on just 11 shots, they couldn't replicate that efficiency in the blowouts where Area 51's defensive structure limited high-danger opportunities.
