SERIES RECAP

The Mighty Deks take the series 3-0 over Medium Sized Men in a dominant sweep characterized by relentless offensive zone pressure and clinical finishing. The series opened with a calculated 3-1 victory for the Deks, but the narrative shifted into high gear in Game 2—a chaotic 8-5 track meet that saw the Deks pull away late. Medium Sized Men attempted to physically impose themselves throughout the matchup, out-hitting the Deks 86-47 overall, but they could never translate that physicality into sustained puck control or consistent scoring opportunities. The series belonged to JNoQuarterJ, who put up a historic performance for the Mighty Deks. He erupted for 15 points across 3 games, including an incredible 8-goal outburst on just 11 shots in the second game, finishing the series with a massive 12 goals. He was fed consistently by Chandler4911, who acted as the primary playmaker with 8 assists and 11 total points. On the other side, OzirisI93I was the lone consistent bright spot for Medium Sized Men, netting 5 goals over the three contests, while Attree x i33i stood out for his defensive grit, racking up 33 hits and 7 interceptions in a tireless effort on the blue line. The deciding factor in this series was the staggering disparity in zone time and pure efficiency. The Mighty Deks nearly doubled Medium Sized Men in Time on Attack across the series (1696 seconds to 1120), essentially keeping the puck pinned in the offensive third for 60% of the matchup. This sustained pressure led to a 51-33 shot advantage, but it was the Deks' lethal 33% shooting percentage that truly buried their opponents. While hugeexpl made some desperation saves to keep the games from getting even further out of hand, the Deks' ability to stay out of the penalty box and dominate the middle of the ice ensured Medium Sized Men never found the rhythm necessary to mount a comeback.
