SERIES RECAP

That Was Ugly takes the series 2-1 over Muffin Men in a back-and-forth battle defined by high-octane offense and dramatic momentum swings. The series opened with That Was Ugly securing a narrow 5-4 win behind a 5-point masterclass from Jeeves2009, but Muffin Men responded immediately in Game 2 with a dominant 6-3 victory to force a decider. However, That Was Ugly saved their best for last, exploding for 8 goals in the finale to clinch the series victory. The series featured elite individual performances on both sides, with Jeeves2009 and Binzet37 trading hat tricks across the 3 games. Binzet37 was a force for Muffin Men, totaling 13 points and racking up 20 hits as he tried to single-handedly carry his squad. tugeye92 provided steady secondary scoring with 9 points over the set. For That Was Ugly, the tandem of Jeeves2009 (14 points) and Prodigyx8 (11 points) proved too much to handle, while Po1andsFinest emerged as a premier distributor, facilitating the Game 3 blowout with a massive 7-point performance (1 goal, 6 assists). Ultimately, the series was decided by That Was Ugly’s relentless offensive zone pressure and special teams execution. Across the 3 games, That Was Ugly went 4-for-6 on the power play, while Muffin Men struggled to capitalize on their limited opportunities, going just 2-for-4. The deciding factor in the Game 3 clincher was the massive possession gap; That Was Ugly nearly doubled Muffin Men's time on attack (723 to 354 seconds), leading to a 22-10 shot advantage that finally broke the series open. Even with Binzet37’s physical persistence, Muffin Men couldn't overcome the efficiency of the That Was Ugly frontline.
