In an intense series showdown, the first game of the night saw Mutant HC take down Hot N Sweaty with a solid 4-2 win. Ryguyx9 was the headline act, lighting the lamp 4 times and throwing in 5 hits for good measure. TurnDown4Butts was also hard on the ice, racking up 4 assists and proving that his playmaking is as sharp as ever. Despite the hard work from Binzet37 who secured 2 goals for Hot N Sweaty and threw 8 shots at net, Derekgnr struggled between the pipes, stopping only 14 of the 18 shots he faced. Game two turned into a classic defensive duel, ending in a nail-biting 1-0 overtime win for Mutant HC. The lone goal came from Ryguyx9 again, making him the top performer of the night. Hot N Sweaty’s goalie, Derekgnr, kept the game close with 22 saves on 23 shots, and despite their strong defensive effort including 11 interceptions, Hot N Sweaty was unable to find the back of the net themselves.
