What a showdown we witnessed between the Backdoor Bandits and the Vorpal Swords last night! The Swords took this one with a final score of 2-1. What a killer performance from Johnny H0ckey, who scored once and added an assist, while prochx9 also got on the board with a goal and an assist himself. Just goes to show that teamwork pays off – bigjayy also chipped in with a couple of assists.
The Bandits, despite firing off 16 shots, could just manage a single goal from Quinnman. Attree x I33I and SophisticatedX were able to get in on the action with an assist each, but it wasn't enough to put a dent in the Swords' defense. Bcrippsx31 faced 8 shots but held strong with 6 saves, although those 2 goals were just too much to overcome.
On the other side, ll Superstar ll was a wall in net for the Swords, stopping 15 out of the 16 shots he faced. Guess it was just one of those nights where everything fell into place for him! A breathtaking game overall, and definitely a thriller from start to finish. Can't wait for the next matchup!
