Chaos walked away with a gritty 4-3 overtime victory in a contest where possession time didn't necessarily dictate the result. Despite Anarchy controlling the pace for long stretches and racking up a massive 11:19 in time on attack compared to just 7:56 for Chaos, they struggled to turn that zone time into high-quality chances. The game remained a back-and-forth affair until the extra frame, where Rxzmus finally ended things, capping off a resilient performance from the Chaos roster that focused on quick strikes rather than sustained pressure.
Rxzmus was the undisputed catalyst for the Chaos offense, factorng into nearly every goal with 1 goal and 2 assists, including the clinical overtime winner. He wasn't just a playmaker, either, leading his team with 7 hits to keep Anarchy's puck carriers honest. On the other wing, daintydanglz was a constant threat, firing 9 shots on net and burying 2 goals to provide the necessary finishing touch. Anarchy saw a strong performance from Kosh 14, who netted 2 goals on 4 shots, and PunchmadeFinn, who managed to contribute a goal and an assist from the blue line, but it wasn't enough to overcome the Chaos trio's efficiency.
The deciding factor in this one was pure shot quality and volume over puck control. Anarchy dominated the puck, but Chaos was far more aggressive when they actually had it, outshooting Anarchy 18-13. While sniffyakk kept Anarchy in the game with 14 saves, the constant pressure from Chaos eventually wore them down. Chaos also benefited from a slightly more disciplined approach, as both teams effectively neutralized the other's power play opportunities, leaving the game to be decided by 5-on-5 execution and Rxzmus’s heroics in the final moments.
