Area 51 walked away with a 4-2 victory over VooDoo Child in a game that completely defied the usual puck-possession logic. Despite VooDoo Child spending a massive 10:57 on the attack compared to just 5:49 for Area 51, they couldn't turn that sustained pressure into a lead. The game’s narrative was defined by VooDoo’s inability to finish their chances; they dominated the zone but often settled for perimeter play, allowing Area 51 to stay patient and strike with lethal efficiency on the counter-attack.
Keenis VII was the primary architect of the Area 51 offense, figuring into every single goal with a 4-point performance (1 goal, 3 assists). He was supported by a monstrous two-way effort from Hoots l16l, who not only netted 2 goals but also tallied a staggering 19 hits to physically disrupt VooDoo’s rhythm. For VooDoo Child, Dupont l9l provided the only silver lining, scoring both of his team's goals on 4 shots.
