The Brand secured a hard-fought 3-2 overtime victory over Evil Nature in a game that was much more lopsided in possession than the final score suggests. Despite The Brand controlling the pace for the majority of the evening, Evil Nature proved resilient, staying within striking distance thanks to opportunistic scoring and a gritty defensive effort. The turning point came in the extra frame when Loxies found the back of the net to end the contest, capitalizing on the relentless pressure The Brand had applied throughout the 74 minutes of play.
The offensive load for The Brand was carried by the duo of Loxies and See dub 21, who both finished with 3 points. Loxies was a constant threat, firing 8 shots on net and eventually burying 2 goals, including the overtime winner. See dub 21 was equally impactful, orchestrating the attack with 1 goal and 2 assists while providing a massive spark in the faceoff circle. On the other side, SlyWily did his best to keep Evil Nature in the hunt, recording a short-handed goal and an assist, while xDemon12x chipped in with a goal and an assist of his own. In net, k33p was the only reason Evil Nature saw overtime, turning aside 21 of 24 shots to weather a heavy storm of quality chances.
