From the opening draw, the Men In Black established a relentless cycle, dominating the zone and keeping the Flamingos pinned deep for the vast majority of the contest. The game stayed competitive early on, but the dam eventually broke as the Men In Black's transition game proved too fast for the Flamingos' backcheck to handle. By the time the third period rolled around, it was less about if the Flamingos could comeback and more about how much more damage the Men In Black would inflict.
