RECAP

Men In Black took control of this contest early, securing a 7-4 victory over the Baboons in a game that felt more lopsided than the final score suggests. While the Baboons remained hanging around through high-end efficiency on their limited chances, Men In Black’s relentless offensive pressure eventually broke the game open. The turning point came during a second-period surge where MIB’s wingers found a rhythm the Baboons' defense simply couldn't track, transforming a tight contest into a comfortable multi-goal cushion that they never relinquished. The story of the night was the clinical finishing of TVK and willisx97. TVK was an absolute force, netting 4 goals and adding 2 assists for a massive 6-point performance; he was remarkably perfect on the night, scoring on every one of his 4 shots. His linemate willisx97 was nearly as lethal, completing a hat trick of his own on just 4 shots. On the other side, Buckley0306 did his best to keep the Baboons competitive with a crafty 4-assist night, and Hergy9 provided some life with 2 goals and a solid 12 faceoff wins, but they simply lacked the depth to match the MIB firepower. The statistical gap in shot volume was the ultimate deciding factor in this one. Men In Black peppered the net with 21 shots compared to just 9 from the Baboons. While the Baboons were incredibly efficient—beating IamStillTyping 4 times on those 9 attempts—they couldn't spend enough time in the offensive zone to keep pace. MIB center iiNsAnE x w00dy was the engine in the middle, facilitating the offense with 4 assists and winning 14 draws to ensure his team maintained the puck. Between the shot differential and a successful power play, Men In Black simply overwhelmed the Baboons through sheer volume.
