In a tight defensive battle, the Baboons edged out the Flamingos with a 3-2 victory. While the final score suggests a toss-up, the Baboons largely dictated the terms of the game through sustained pressure and a heavy shot advantage. The Flamingos made things interesting with a clutch short-handed goal to stay within striking distance, but they struggled to find consistent offensive zone time against a disciplined Baboons back-check that refused to yield the middle of the ice.
