VooDoo Child escaped with a 6-5 overtime victory in a back-and-forth affair that was much more lopsided in terms of puck control than the final score suggests. While the Flamingos were incredibly clinical with their limited opportunities, VooDoo Child’s relentless pressure eventually wore them down in the extra frame. The game felt like a constant pursuit; every time VooDoo Child established their cycle, the Flamingos would find a way to strike on the counter-attack to keep things level. The drama finally peaked in overtime when Hylightt buried the deciding goal, rewarding a squad that dominated the shot clock 26-13.
The offensive stars were out in full force, led by a massive 6-point performance from TwO AcCuRaTE, who orchestrated the VooDoo Child attack with 1 goal and 5 assists. Hylightt proved to be the ultimate dual-threat, completing a hat trick on 12 shots while leading his team with 13 hits. jnoquarterj was equally vital, chipping in 2 goals and 3 assists of his own. The Flamingos stayed in the hunt largely due to Bumpy x L6L, who notched a hat trick on just 6 shots, and the bruising play of l Volcom x 28 l, who paired 2 goals with a game-high 17 hits to punish VooDoo Child defenders all night.
