RECAP

The Strawberrys put on a clinical offensive display in an 11-5 victory over Evil Nature, turning the contest into a high-scoring track meet from the opening draw. While the final score looks like a complete blowout, Evil Nature’s Swizz wrld did his best to keep things competitive, single-handedly providing all 5 of his team's goals. However, the Strawberrys' relentless cycle and sustained pressure proved too much to handle. The narrative of this game was defined by a massive gap in zone control, as Evil Nature spent the majority of the night pinned in their own end, unable to withstand the wave after wave of Strawberrys attacks. The individual numbers in this game were staggering, led by splxshin. who put up a massive 11-point performance featuring 4 goals and 7 assists. He wasn't alone in the double-digit club, as linemate mashotpa was equally lethal, finishing with 5 goals and 5 assists on 10 shots. On the other side, Swizz wrld was a genuine force of nature despite the loss; he was incredibly efficient, scoring his 5 goals on just 7 shots while also leading the game with 16 hits to try and spark his squad. While Swizz wrld won the physical battle, the Strawberrys' playmakers won the war. The deciding factor was the lopsided time on attack, which told the story of the lopsided score. The Strawberrys held an incredible 13:58 of TOA compared to just 3:45 for Evil Nature, effectively starving their opponents of the puck. This possession dominance was fueled by splxshin. winning 20 faceoffs (58.8%) and a team passing game that saw 165 attempts. Evil Nature’s goalie, trickdoesathing, faced a constant barrage and made 17 saves, but the sheer volume of 28 shots and 2 power play goals against meant there was simply no way to bridge the gap.
