RECAP

Feet For Hands secured a narrow 2-1 victory over the Gooper Troopers in a defensive slugfest that relied heavily on discipline and physical presence. The game remained a tight, low-scoring affair as both teams struggled to find clean looks through high-traffic areas. The turning point came on the only power play chance of the night for Feet For Hands; they capitalized on the man advantage to break the deadlock, ultimately providing the cushion they needed to withstand a late push from the Troopers. While Gooper Troopers stayed within striking distance until the final horn, they simply couldn't generate enough sustained pressure to overcome a persistent road attack. ScottyWildthing was the undisputed engine for Feet For Hands, accounting for both of his team's goals on a massive 12-shot performance. His ability to find space in the offensive zone was complemented by a punishing defensive effort from the back end, led by Lividpenguin342 and thatbaillieguy, who combined for 15 hits to keep the Troopers' forwards at bay. On the other side, wolf master00 was the only reason the score remained close, turning aside 19 of 21 shots for a .905 save percentage in a losing effort. T R 3 Y N 4 provided the lone goal for the Troopers, but the home side’s offense was largely stifled, managing only 9 shots throughout the entire contest. The statistical story of this game was told through possession and shot volume. Feet For Hands controlled the pace with 10:45 of time on attack compared to 8:13 for the Troopers, leading to a 22-9 shot differential. This relentless pressure eventually wore down the home defense. Discipline also proved to be the decider; the Troopers took a single penalty, and it resulted in the game-winning power-play goal for ScottyWildthing. By effectively neutralizing the Troopers' transition game and dominating the physical categories—highlighted by rxzmus26’s game-high 12 hits—Feet For Hands squeezed the life out of the game to take the win.
