While the Roughnecks managed to hang around on the scoreboard with a timely short-handed goal by SlyWily and a power play tally from I BARD 15 I, they spent the majority of the game chasing the play in their own zone. The turning point came in the middle frame, where the Harfangs’ sustained pressure wore down the Roughnecks' defense, allowing them to turn a tight contest into a multi-goal cushion that they never relinquished.
