RECAP

The Harfangs turned in a clinical performance in their 7-2 victory over the Sea Cows, showcasing an elite level of finishing that made the scoreline look far more lopsided than the run of play suggested. While the Sea Cows actually controlled the zone for long stretches, holding a significant 8:46 to 7:13 edge in time on attack, they simply couldn't find an answer for the Harfangs' counter-attack. The game blew open as the Harfangs capitalized on nearly every high-danger look they generated, turning a competitive shot count of 18-17 in favor of the Sea Cows into a decisive blowout. The story of the night was the lethal chemistry between "l volcom x 28 l" and xbrindy. Volcom was an absolute force on the right wing, burying 4 goals on just 6 shots while adding an assist to finish with a 5-point night. His linemate xbrindy was equally dangerous, recording a hat trick and 2 assists for a matching 5-point performance. Supporting the goal-scorers was the elite vision of Duchesne_x_10 and defenseman Dispiggy8donuts, both of whom specialized in facilitating the offense with 4 assists each. In the crease, Pikachu1974 provided the necessary stability for the Harfangs, turning aside 16 of 18 shots to keep the comeback attempts at bay. Ultimately, this game came down to shooting percentage and efficiency in the final third. The Harfangs' ability to convert on 41% of their total shots is a staggering statistic that usually spells disaster for the opposition. Despite the Sea Cows winning the possession battle and getting physical with 9 hits from DARTH KN1GHT and 7 from mashotpa., they struggled to find the back of the net, finishing with a meager 11% shooting clip. The Sea Cows moved the puck well and generated the volume, but the Harfangs’ ability to clinicaly finish on the break made the difference in this one.
