RECAP

In a game that felt like a track meet from the opening puck drop, Gangsters Hockey Club narrowly escaped with an 8-7 victory over the Harfangs. This was a classic EA Sports barnburner where defense was optional and every offensive zone entry felt like a scoring opportunity. The Harfangs relied on an incredibly efficient transition game to stay competitive, but the turning point was the sheer volume of pressure from the Gangsters in the final frame. Despite multiple surges from the Harfangs' top line, the Gangsters' ability to sustain pressure eventually broke the deadlocks in a seesaw affair that saw several lead changes before the final buzzer. The individual performances in this game were staggering. On the winning side, Lup l7l put on a playmaking clinic from the center position, racking up 6 assists to go along with 2 goals for a massive 8-point night. His primary target was xHoodler, who netted a hat trick and added 4 assists, including the game-winning goal that finally put the Harfangs away. The Harfangs' effort was spearheaded by l volcom x 28 l, who was clinical in the circle with 5 goals on just 8 shots. He was supported heavily by xbrindy, who played a relentless power-forward game, tallying 6 points and delivering a staggering 21 hits to keep the Gangsters' defense looking over their shoulders. Ultimately, the deciding factor was zone time and puck possession. Gangsters Hockey Club nearly doubled the Harfangs in Time on Attack (1040 to 561), a disparity that eventually wore down Pikachu1974 despite his 24 saves. While the Harfangs were dangerous on the counter-attack, they couldn't overcome the 32-25 shot deficit or the Gangsters' relentless cycle game. The Gangsters were patient with the puck, moving it effectively through Upshall 55 on the back end (3 assists), and that extra time spent in the offensive third allowed them to generate the high-quality looks needed to survive l volcom x 28 l’s five-goal outburst.
