What a showdown we had tonight as The Mighty Drunks skated away with a solid 4-1 victory over the Game Of Cones! The Drunks were on fire, unleashing a barrage of 29 shots while limiting the Cones to just 8. Keeg-_26 was the star of the night, popping in 2 goals and adding an assist to cement his status as a key player in this matchup. Jellyl35l also came to play with a goal and 2 assists, contributing heavily to the offensive frenzy.
On the flip side, Game Of Cones struggled to find their rhythm. GingertronXX tallied the only goal for their side, showcasing some skill in a tough loss. Lethalsniper007 and Il Eroc lI tried to hold down the fort, but with only 8 shots on net, it was tough to generate much offense. Il Eroc lI faced 29 shots as the netminder but made 25 saves; definitely a hard night, even though he held strong under pressure.
The Drunks' defensemen really stepped it up, especially TheHeroicDuck who notched 3 assists while shutting down any chances the Cones tried to muster. With the game clock stopping at just under 16 minutes in time-on-ice for the Cones, and the Drunks controlling the play for much of the match, it’s a clear victory for the lineup boasting the deeper talent tonight. Can't wait to see these teams meet again!
