Area 51 put on a clinic in clinical finishing, dismantling The Strawberrys 8-2 in a game that was far more lopsided on the scoreboard than the possession numbers might suggest. Despite The Strawberrys holding a massive advantage in time on attack (509 to 306), they simply could not find a way past the Area 51 structure. The turning point came early as Area 51’s transition game took over, turning defensive stops into high-danger rushes. While The Strawberrys spent long stretches cycling the puck, Area 51 struck with lightning speed, effectively putting the game out of reach by the midway point with a barrage of efficient scoring.
The story of the night was the offensive explosion from the Area 51 blue line and center spot. vshotsy was an absolute force from the defensive end, netting 4 goals—including 2 on the power play—while adding 7 hits in a dominant two-way performance. Not to be outdone, Keenis VII orchestrated the offense from the middle, racking up 6 points (2 goals, 4 assists) and winning 16 faceoffs to keep the pressure on. On the other side, splxshin. provided the only real resistance for The Strawberrys, accounting for both of their goals, but it wasn't nearly enough to counter the depth of Area 51, which also saw Dirbykach13 chip in 4 points of his own.
